Howdy Folks, due to the fact the ADG tour was down one event for this year the Perth Disc Golf Club has kindly volunteered to fill in the missing spot.

Perth Disc Golf Club would like to invite disc golfers of all skill levels to compete in Perth’s second A-tier event for 2009.

This two-day event will be played at different venues: the exciting new layout at South Guilford and the 20-year old home of disc golf in WA – Rob Hancock Memorial at Cockman reserve in Greenwood. South Guilford will be the venue on day one.

ADG Goes to Taiwan

On February 5th three members of the ADG Paul Arden, David Bandy and Chris Finn landed in taiwan to compete in the 2009 Asia Disc Golf Championships.
There was a large field of 75 competitors including international players from America, Japan, Korea and Sweden. Included in this group was the world number 1 David Feldberg and the two top players from Japan Manabo and G. This tournament was also new to the players not only course wise but also in the restriction in the discs they could use. In Asia players are only allowed to use 150g discs were anywhere else in the world you are allowed to use discs up to 180g so this added a challenge to the ADG guys.

Sparks Summers Sizzler 2009

{flickr4j_photo id=’3342841218′ size=’1′}

What a great tourney with fanastic player spirit & fun; i had a PB & was leading after round 1, but it didn’t last & the 09 Sparks Summers Sizzler champ is Luke Williams.

Players were welcomed to the course by a new sign & the park was mowed & cleared of branches, looking good even in the rain. The morning weather was cool, windy & raining so players voted for a later start & went to nearby markets for coffee. Those who believed the weather forecast & stayed indoors were led astray, by mid morn the rain had stopped. The course had baked for the last fortnight so the rain soaked in quickly & didn’t cause slippy tees or slow up rollers. The day remained cool, sunny & windy, ideal for disc golf in summer !!
